Deborah Hutton was born and brought up in
Norfolk, educated in Kent and went to the
University of York, where she read for a
degree in English and graduated with first-
class honours. In 1979 she entered the Vogue
talent contest, which led to an editorial job
on the magazine. Soon afterwards she was
appointed Health Editor, a position she still
holds. She is the author of the highly
successful Vogue Complete Beauty.
